To gain a comprehensive understanding of the system being developed from the appropriate viewpoint.
Interacts with the project team to gain an understanding of the Business environment, technical context and conformance criteria.
Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure planned testing activities meet project needs and expectations.
To support and/or perform verification activities of deliverables from all phases of the project in accordance with the Test Plan.
Analysis of project documentation and extraction of requirements, system functions and other features that need to be tested.
Analysis of Business Process documentation and definition of Business Test Scenarios.
Develop test conditions, test cases and test scripts, in line with the agreed quality standards and methods, which test that the requirements have been met.
To support and/or perform the execution of test scripts in the manner specified by the appropriate Test Plan.
Recording of the actual test results against the expected results and retaining for future reference.
Participates in the analysis of results and the defect management and resolution process.
Understands and uses appropriate automated testing tools.
Records and applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key testing criteria.
To find and raise important problems, in accordance with the Problem Management procedures, and track through to satisfactory resolution.
To support and/or perform regression testing following problem fixing.
Utilise techniques and best practice, following the standard testing procedures and guidelines.
Liaise with other teams, external contacts as required.
Report progress to the Test Manager as required.
